GEO

Generative Engine Optimization

Back to service

GEO, or Generative Engine Optimization, focuses on improving how clearly a brand, company or expert can be understood and recognised as relevant by generative AI systems.

Generative search works differently from a traditional list of search results. AI systems collect information from multiple sources, identify relationships and entities, and use them to construct their own responses. As a result, visibility is no longer determined solely by where a website ranks for a particular keyword.

GEO examines the consistency of a brand’s digital knowledge, relationships between topics and entities, expert content, external sources, structured information, technical accessibility and the questions for which the brand appears in AI-generated responses.

ComLab approaches GEO as a measurement-driven process. We first map the brand’s current AI visibility and then use identified gaps to define content, PR, SEO, AEO and technology development actions.
