AEO is not a replacement name for SEO
Answer Engine Optimization does not replace traditional search optimisation. Its focus is on making content clear, question-oriented and credible enough to function as an answer source. Technical foundations, search visibility and content quality still matter.
Start with real questions
Strong AEO content begins by understanding the questions people ask in real decision situations, not by repeating keywords. Those questions can then be answered directly and supported with deeper explanation.
AEO works best when it is not treated as a separate optimisation layer, but as part of one system connecting content, technology and brand knowledge.
Credibility needs visible structure
It should be clear who stands behind a claim, what experience or evidence supports it, and how the page relates to the organisation’s wider expertise. Page structure can reinforce relationships between author, organisation, service and topic.
Measurement matters
AEO is not a one-off content task. Track which questions surface the brand, what sources answer systems rely on, which competitors are mentioned, and where useful expert content is still missing.
